 Also located just 45 miles west of Boone, NC. Designed and built by two imaginative and experienced natural builders, this tiny treehouse hamlet sits on 6 wooded acres with south – facing slopes at a comfortable elevation of 2,150 feet. It is near Mt. Mitchell, the tallest mountain east of the Mississippi and only twenty minutes away from the renowned Penland School of Crafts and the community of Celo, in Yancey County, where more artists per capita live than anywhere in the U.S. The Blue Ridge Parkway will get you within 20 miles of the home. The newly paved highways take you the rest of the way. GPS will get you there.

Idyllic 700 sq. ft. artist’s treehouse deep in the forest, 35 feet above a mountain stream with gently cascading waterfalls. Perched high in the sky, this home offers sleeping for up to six. Follow the floating log staircase to a romantic upstairs loft with Romeo and Juliet balcony. Lounge in the window seat there, enjoying the best view in the house. Or enjoy the cozy sleeping loft tucked away off the living room. It's the perfect place to curl up with a good book. Stroll along the wrap around deck for magnificent views of the stream immediately below. Sit by the crackling wood stove and enjoy it's cozy warm.

The modern kitchen was made for a master chef. All the cookware, organic spices, and oils are provided to whip up an amazing meal. This is the place you surely dreamed of when you were a child!

With easy access to state-maintained roads and just 7 miles from all the conveniences in Burnsville, NC, this quiet, tucked-away eden offers the best of both worlds. An inspiring wildlife and birdwatcher’s paradise, its’ other features include: a view of the beautiful North Toe River, magnificent rock outcroppings, a small sounding cave, nature trails and many edible wild plants.

Simply walk across the street to enjoy the Toe River. It offers refreshing deep waters for swimming and excellent trout or bass fishing. Walk along the pebble shores and simply enjoy the beauty.

The Appalachian Trail is within 15 miles of the home running along the NC and TN border. Take a short drive for a worthwhile hike. The home is also within 20 miles of the Roan Mountain State Park for another beautiful hike.
