Caalm Camp is luxury camping in deepest Dorset. The six traditional Mongolian yurts are beautifully equipped and can sleep up to six people; each yurt has a double bed and two day beds (guest beds available on request). Duvets, bed linen and fluffy, white towels are all provided. A wood burner (logs included) for cooler nights, an induction hob for that early morning cuppa or light bite and electric lighting are also provided.
Within the Old Haybarn, a short distance from each yurt, you will find your very own private shower room with under-floor heating allocated to it. It is exclusively for your use for the duration of your stay (so no need to share) and has vanity units for storage.
Also in the Old Haybarn, you will be able to make use of the large communal kitchen. Each yurt has its own fridge, and there is plenty of room to prepare a hearty breakfast that can be eaten in the day room, which has a TV, children's area, and comfortable seating to sit and relax, talk to new friends and look across at the stunningly beautiful countryside that Dorset has to offer.
They also have a wooden play area, pool table, fire pit, picnic benches and BBQs. There are chickens, sheep and goats to feed and cattle in the adjoining field. There are wonderful walks, and there is plenty of wildlife to spot as well as fishing in our own lake or in the neighbouring fishery that has the choice of seven lakes to fish from.
Just a short drive away is the Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury, where the famous Hovis advert was made. Just a short drive away are the famous Longleat Safari Park and Monkey World, as are great beaches at Bournemouth, Sandbanks and Weymouth.
