Surrounded by lush plant life, a garden, and other amenities, this home away from home has everything anyone would need for a peaceful mountain escape.
The small town of Boquete sits along the Caldera River, surrounded by the scenic Chiriquí Highlands. Guests will spot a variety of beautiful coffee plantations, with the fabulous Barú Volcano National Park not far away. There, guests can explore the huge Barú Volcano, wander the Los Quetzales Trail, or maybe even catch sight of the famed quetzal bird.
This accommodation is great for family or group get togethers as well as couples or solo travelers, the three yurts sleep a total of 19 people. The France yurt sleeps 6 and is furnished in a French style with a double antique iron bed and 2 bunk beds. The Peru themed yurt sleeps 7 with a queen bed, a twin bed and 2 bunk beds. The Panama yurt, with its local adornments, sleeps 6 in its three bunk beds and offers ramp access. Each yurt has a dome in the center of the roof for star viewing or bird watching. Screened "windows" allow the flow of mountain breezes and the solid wood doors provide security with keyed locks. The yurts were designed to be eco-friendly and do not provide electricity or plumbing. However, they do provide glampers the opportunity to gain a gentle experience of life in times past and to experience the moods of nature. Lanterns are provided in each yurt. Outside, solar lighting guides glampers to a shared bathhouse like none other, welcoming and delighting all with colorful murals depicting earlier times in a tropical setting. The bathhouse was designed to provide privacy, security and is supplied with all the essentials one would expect of a glamorous camping accommodation. Entry to the bathhouse is ramped and one shower room offers a hand-held fixture and a free-standing bathtub. Each yurt has a deck and additional outdoor seating and picnic options are just steps away. The yurts sit on a gorgeous property with a roofed gazebo, a fire pit, tropical gardens, hammocks, walking paths and a water feature offering guests numerous sites to be alone with nature and still be in camp.
The two Tahiti cabins overlook the Caldera River valley to the Pacific Ocean and are just a scenic 10-minute drive from Boquete town in western Panama. This location is the center of the outdoor mountain activities and coffee plantations that locals and tourists come to experience. Hand-crafted by local tradesmen of hardwoods and natural stone, and with cabin windows designed and constructed of wood louvers with no glass, these luxurious cabins are also eco-friendly gems. The space is studio style with a comfortable queen bed and can accommodate a cot for a child or an additional adult. The exciting bath area design is bright and airy. Fresh mountain breezes, a ceiling fan and an efficient space heater are all guests need to feel cozy. Hosts will happily provide extra quilts if requested. The cabins are appointed with a coffee bar that can serve as a computer workstation.
