How Do I Get There?

From downtown Toronto (Toronto Island Airport), you will embark on a private float-plane charter that will fly you for 90 minutes directly to the camp. Outpost Co. can arrange for international airport transfers and/or local hotel accommodations and transport.

The Outpost is located in the heart of Temagami's famed ancient, white pine forests, on a lake only accessible by float plane.  The camp comes complete with a private chef, well-appointed, handcrafted canvas safari tents and artisinal wood canvas canoes for your exclusive use. It is truly one of the last best places on earth, where the Native Ojibwa culture and ancient forests resonate in perfect tranquil isolation. You will want for nothing as our staff seamlessly offers you all the comforts and pampering to make your stay memorable and relaxing.

The Outpost is a way for people to connect to nature in an elegant and simple way. Accessing true wilderness these days is more necessary than ever - and harder than ever. Our lives are inundated with media, hyper-connectivity and the noise and chaos of urban life. Silence and space are at a premium. But so is authenticity. So our goal is to give you the time to reconnect with nature and reinvigorate your real self in one of the most beautiful and meaningful parts of the natural world. This is why this property also does not have WiFi, and discourages cell-phones use. As John Muir once said: "The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness."

Inside Scoop

  • Dining is provided by a select group of Toronto restauranteurs. Each provides a unique interpretation of Canadian local cuisine for your group at the Outpost. The focus is on local, wild and foraged food prepared fresh by some of Toronto's leading chefs. Each session may have a different chef who will join us for your stay and provide his or her services exclusively for you.

A Singles Supplement applies to reservations requesting single occupation of accommodation. Supplement surcharge varies by occupancy. Please inquire at time of booking.

  • All-inclusive packages promise world-class cuisine, premium wines and premium spirits. Should you wish to order from the reserve wine list and/or enjoy the cigar selection, a surcharge will appear on your statement.

  • Children: Discounted rate to families traveling with children 12 years of age and under, provided children share accommodation with parents/guardians.

To safeguard the comfort and happiness of all resort guests, due to the intimate size and remote nature of the resort, it is asked that children under the age of eight be under the full-time care of parents, a nanny or other such companion.
