How Do I Get There?
Just 8 miles south of Loudonville off of Wally Road, approximately one mile north of Tree Frog Canopy Tours
Airport: Akron, Ohio, is the nearest Airport. Located about a 1.5 hour drive from Akron.
Treehouses designed by Kevin Mooney and Pete Nelson. Animal Planet and The Discovery Channel filmed the building of one of the tree houses and it was shown on a show called Tree House Masters.
The Mohicans offer three treehouses. The White Oak and Little Red Tree Houses were both designed by Pete Nelson—treehouse designer and star of Discovery Channel's hit series "Tree House Masters." The Little Red Tree House was featured on the show! Watch for episode "Tree House Brew Haus" which is frequently aired.
Sustainable design concepts were incorporated in the new properties (all excluding the Mohican 15 Guest Cabin) including passive solar, radiant heat, on-demand hot water, reused and repurposed materials (windows, doors, barn beams, siding and cabinets), local materials (wood milled on site) and labor (most laborers lived no more than eight miles away) and recyclable materials (long lasting metal roofs and wooden structures).

If you have a more adventurous side, this newest tree house may be your choice. This two-guest treehouse was originally constructed for the Animal Planet/Discovery Channel Show “Tree House Masters,” featuring world renowned treehouse designer, Pete Nelson.
Wanting to snuggle up and watch a movie? No problem! There is a compact flat-screen TV/DVD player just the perfect size for the treehouse. Enjoy your meal with a spectacular view of the Mohican forest from the high-top counter and bar stools that look out one of the 12 windows. The kitchenette is also complete with everything you might need for your stay: microwave, electric cook top, toaster, and coffeemaker. The cabinets are handmade of the familiar reclaimed barn timbers and slab wood counters varnished with a mirrored gloss tops them off. The loft sleeping quarters are accessed by a ladder that takes guests up to a queen-bed platform just tall enough to sit up ink. Did someone say hay loft? Fun and fanciful is the theme of this treehouse. The queen bed platform draped in down overlooks the living area with a beautiful view of the stained glass window. An indoor toilet room with a sliding barn door is the final touch to this rustic barn style treehouse.
The tree house was constructed with 100% reclaimed materials, including 100-year-old barn siding and hand-hewn beams. Cedar shake roofing gives it an antique, 1800s feel along with its vintage interior accents. You will be wrapped in luxury with an indoor deluxe bathroom/shower and decadent bedding. It has a small kitchenette, living room, bathroom, first-floor bedroom (one queen bed), upstairs loft (queen bed), small eating area and outdoor shower (warm weather only). Fun and unique design features include a sliding bedroom barn door, dramatic loft design overlooking the main living area, private decks built around pine and oak trees and expansive windows to take in the bird's-eye view.
Stocked mini-refrigerators with small freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker with complimentary coffee and filters, two-burner electric cooking element. Living room has sectional sofa, TV/DVD (for movie viewing only so bring DVD's—no satellite or cable) and rocker, the deck has two chairs. Treehouse is fully heated and has A/C. All linens and towels are provided. Other toiletries you will need to bring yourself (soap, etc.).
The treehouse has grapevine railings and a cedar double door entrance. It has a small kitchenette, living room, bathroom, first-floor bedroom (one queen bed), upstairs loft (two queen beds), outdoor shower and radiant heat floors. The kitchen cabinets are constructed out of reused, 100-year-old barn wood. A magnificent three-sided wrap-around porch provides views of the Mohican Valley. This tree house is truly spectacular and is something you will want to see.
