The Americana Cabin is a one of a kind glamping style tiny house located on a beautiful private island in the French Broad River just 15 miles north of downtown Asheville, North Carolina.  This island escape offers the opportunity to "get away from it all', but be just 10 minutes from shops & restaurants and 25 minutes from downtown Asheville. Glampers park on the mainland and cross a swinging bridge to reach this private cabin just 500 feet from parking, but a world away! 

Guests will enjoy the recently renovated rustic cabin that has a large partially covered porch to enjoy the 'middle of nowhere' feeling of being on an island. The Island Retreat is designed for the adventurous. This rustic retreat provides the ideal quarters for romantic getaways, fishermen, authors, bikers, hikers and the free spirited looking to get close to nature… but not too close!

** Note - Children under 12 are not permitted on the island. Ideal for 2 adults - but maximum is 3 persons per rental. Tent camping and non-paying visitors are NOT allowed on this property.

Americana Cabin is a romantic cabin on a private island in the French Broad River just outside Asheville. Rustic cabin with vaulted ceiling and attached modified half-bath, the main room includes platform queen air mattress bed with memory foam topper and high quality linens, wood stove, sitting area, dining booth and benches, small refrigerator, water cooler, induction cooktop, coffee pot and food prep area with all kitchen utensils. Modified half-bath is supplied with bottled water pumped and heated at the sink. Waste management is by electric incinerating toilet. An outside rain barrel fed shower is warmed and supplied by foot pump. The front porch offers a relaxing hammock with memory foam pad and an outdoor table, chairs and gas grill. A fire pit is the center of the yard and overlooks the river.

Reservations cancelled prior to 30 days will receive full refund minus any payment processing fees. Within 30 days, refunds (minus fees) will be granted IF the property can be fully rebooked for the reservation period.
