Nestled in dense coastal vegetation on an untouched stretch of white beach lies this little owner-run ecolodge. It is a piece of paradise that invites you to explore nature and wildlife of the Swahili Coast in Tanzania without leaving any carbon footprint. The lodge is entirely run on solar and wind, built and run on highest eco standards, staff is recruited from the local community and fresh produces are sourced locally – sustainability at its best.
Amazing food created by the German chef, very personal service and the atmosphere of a small place will make you feel at home away from home. Enjoy some good books while watching the dhows pass by, take a stroll at the beach, play hide’n’seek with the crabs or just let your mind drift away – Tembo Kijani is the ideal place for relaxing. If you like some more adventure, a safari in Saadani National Park is a great way to explore some of the unknown parts of Tanzania. Birding and cultural walks give you the opportunity to experience coastal nature and wildlife from up close.
