Ohio Treehouse Glamping
Written by: Alexandria Autrey
Have you ever wanted to get away from it all and maybe go live in a tree house? Two hours south of Cleveland lies the Mohicans glamping resort, where you can do just that. However, if you think getting away from it all in a tree house means sleeping bags and campfire cooking, think again. These are upscale, luxury tree homes, complete with kitchens, indoor bathrooms, luxury beds and heat and air conditioning. The Mohicans glamping destination offers guests accommodations in both exquisite tree houses and cozy cabins. There are three tree houses on the property, The White Oak, The Little Red and the newest, The Old Pine. The first two tree houses were designed by Pete Nelson, a tree house designer and the star of the Discovery Channel’s hit series “Tree House Masters”. In addition, Little Red was featured on the show in March of 2013 and the Old Pine tree house was made from 100% reclaimed materials including 100-year-old barn siding and hand hewn beams. Both treehouse’s have full private bathrooms and are furnished with queen-sized beds for a good nights sleep and sweet relaxation. Each tree house sleeps anywhere from two to four people for an unforgettable experience. If you want to bring more people on your glamping getaway, or just prefer to keep your feet on the ground, there are also four cabins guests can stay in.
If you have a more adventurous side, this newest tree house may be your choice. This 2 guest tree house was originally constructed for the Animal Planet/Discovery Channel Show “Tree House Masters”
Welcome to the Old Pine tree house! This brand new custom designed tree house is nestled among the only pine stand on the property against a gentle hillside and accessed by a stunning staircase and suspension bridge
White Oak tree house is suspended from white oak and hickory trees on a hillside overlooking the Mohican Valley and is accessed from the hillside by a beautiful bridge.
