Grandview Mountain Cottages, situated atop the Cumberland Plateau on 145 acres in eastern Tennessee, offers eco-friendly, upscale vacation cottages in addition to its newly opened romantic off-grid, glamping "Cowgirl Cabin."

Make it pretty enough for the cowgirls and the cowboys will follow!  Built with recycled materials, Cowgirl is nestled among trees and built on stilts, giving it the feel of a treehouse with beautiful pastoral farm views.  Off-grid amenities include a rain water collection system, outdoor, solar camp bag shower, wood heat stove, outdoor fire pit with cooking gear and grill set up and ventilated composting outhouse. Completely disconnect in this cabin in the trees with lantern lighting (no electricity) and romantic furnishings including a comfy double bed with linens and bedding, campware, reading chairs and deck table. Organic coffee, drinking water, firewood, robes, locally made goat milk soaps and linens provided, as well as welcome baskets with homemade dark chocolate chip cookies and chocolates.

Honeysuckle and Pinecone, two upscale eco-friendly cottages with all the bells and whistles, including hot tubs, spa bathrooms, furnished kitchens, fireplaces, central A/C and heating and many extra amenities offer a more upscale lodging choice on the same 145-acre mountain property.

On-site hiking trails, as well as a spring-fed fishing pond (loaner rods available) are enjoyed by guests, and nearby hiking to many waterfalls and rivers makes this a great outdoor destination.  Nearby Piney River and Watts Bar Lake offer "big lake" fishing, boating and swimming.  Waterfall hikes including Piney, Stinging Fork, Laurel Snow and Ozone Falls are just minutes away. Country drives through the surrounding Grassy Cove, Cumberland and Sesquatchie Valley offer country fun, including antique hunting, boutique shopping, wine-tasting vineyards, agri-tourism farm tours, restaurants and the Lost Sea Caverns.  Nearby Cumberland Mountain State Park or Fall Creek Falls State Park, with its 200-foot-high waterfall and zip-line tree adventure course, is a great day trip, as are Chattanooga and Knoxville for those staying with us for weekly stays. The nationally acclaimed Cumberland Playhouse in nearby Crossville offers top productions in intimate country settings. No matter what your countryside pleasure, we know you'll find it on the Cumberland Plateau.  Romance or family fun: it's your choice! We're pet friendly too!

Grandview Mountain Cottages is co-owned and managed by Ilaeka Villa, who retired from international consulting after 20 years in France to open vacation rentals on her family's farm, and her father, Papa Phil, who is well known for his wonderful homemade breads and pizzas.
