Estimated time: (45–1 hr)

*There is only one road that exits the airport. At the end of Airport road, go left (west) at the light onto Highway 11.

*Continue on Hwy 11 until you are out of town. Before six miles, get in left lane. Make a left onto Highway 130 at the sign that reads Pahoa 10. There are two left turn lanes.
*Hwy 130 bypasses the town of Pahoa, which is the last place to buy supplies or groceries. There is a small shopping mall on the north side of Pahoa, which includes the Malama Market grocery store. In Pahoa town there is also a health food store called Island Naturals, as well as some good restaurants like Kaleos, fast foods, pharmacy Longs Drugs, ATMs and a Post Office.

*Stop in Pahoa or continue on Hwy 130 ten miles past Pahoa and turn left about 1/4 mile past the green church on the left (mile marker 20) towards the Kapoho sign or 137, and then left on towards the ocean on Kalapana-Kapoho road.

*After one-third mile, you will reach a STOP sign or "T-junction." Turn left at the STOP sign or "T-junction" (towards Kapoho). This is Coastal Highway 137: Kalapana-Kapoho Beach Rd. (known locally as the Red Road).

*In 3.1 miles, Bali House and Bali Cottage will be on your left, just past mile marker 20 (about 2 miles). Look for the double black metal and bamboo gates w/Rapa Nuis (Tiki Heads) on gate posts on the left-hand side. The address is on the mailbox.
