    50% of the deposit is required to confirm booking. Balance is due upon check out. 

    If cancellation is made outside of one month of reservation, 50% of deposit is returned. If cancelled within one month of reservation, the property will hold the entire deposit. Any deposit held will remain on as credit to use on a future vacation for up to two years.

How Do I Get There?

From I-25

Exit at Walsenburg and take Hwy 160 west toward La Veta/Alamosa. Go past La Veta, over La Veta pass, through Ft. Garland and continue through the small town of Blanca. Turn north onto Hwy 150 (this is located approximately six miles west of Blanca). There will be a number of signs showing the way to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Guests will travel north on Hwy 150 for 12.2 miles to the Inn driveway. Guests should turn when they see a Nature Conservancy Medano-Zapata Ranch sign on their left. On the driveway, follow the signs to the Inn and main lodge and office will appear.

From San Luis Valley Regional Airport – Alamosa, CO

30 minute drive | Commercial and FBO (private aircraft) | Shuttles to and from the ranch are available for an additional charge (no charge with the Silver Spur package).

The Zapata Ranch offers an all-inclusive extensive program for guests to experience life on a working cattle ranch while enjoying high-end amenities and gourmet food. Guests are hosted in one of the comfortable lodge rooms at the historic Zapata ranch headquarters. Guests will wake up to a hot breakfast served in their rustic dining room before heading out for a morning horseback ride. When booked privately, the ranch has a 26-bed capacity with 17 rooms, along with a private meeting room that seats up to 50 guests—perfect for corporate and family events.
