How Do I Get There?

Coming from the south on Highway 97, turn right at 150 Mile House; coming from the north, turn left at 150 Mile House, 14 km south of Williams Lake.

Stay to the right until you reach Horsefly after about 56 km.

In Horsefly, you will see a Race Track gas station on the left, a small real estate office on the right and Clarks’ General Store on the right. At Clarks’, please turn right across a single-lane wooden bridge. You are crossing the Horsefly River. At the turn-off, you'll see a big sign announcing the resort areas of Horsefly Lake and Quesnel Lake.

This is an important turn-off since past this turn-off, a large rig will have difficulties turning back.

After about 1 km, you come to a Y in the road, and you will see announcements to various resorts and B&Bs. First sign to Plato Island Resort 35 km, turn left here. You are now on the gravel road.

Follow this road to km 26. Just past km 26, you'll see our sign; turn left, and after 3 km, turn left again and follow the gravel road down to the resort.

This is the ultimate romantic get away. Our luxurious safari style tent, "White Cloud," has an attached en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Enjoy breathtaking views from your personal covered deck overlooking pristine Quesnel Lake, marina and beach and the area's majestic mountains.

Quesnel Lake is the deepest inland fjord in the world. Once in the geological past of the planet, this lake was an inlet and connected to the Pacific. From the west and the little settlement of Likely, with a fascinating history, to the eastern reaches and the high peaks of Wells Grey Provincial Park, Quesnel Lake is a wilderness lake at its finest. There is no polluting industry on Quesnel Lake, and the water is crystal clear and pristine.

The sunsets have to be experienced; no words can describe the serenity and splendor. The smooth sandy beaches at “the Point” are within a three-minute walk of the resort. The beach is kids friendly, protected by Plato Island and gently sloping, and the water is usually calm in the lee of the point.
