Kaingo Camp features six traditional brick and thatch Zambia glamping chalets set on the banks of the perennial Luangwa River, and each chalet has its own private viewing deck, en-suite bathroom and an outdoor bathtub tucked under shady trees. A centrally located chitenje includes the dining room, leadwood tree bar and a relaxing lounge.
Mwamba Bush Camp: Mwamba Bush Camp blends in with the surrounding African bush and features three authentic reed and thatch huts. Each hut comes with huge skylights and an open air en-suite bathroom. The dining area and bar are al fresco, tucked under towering ebony trees.
While staying at Kaingo or Mwamba Zambia glamping resorts you can also spend a romantic night on the Elephant Hide platform or go on a more adventurous fly-camping sleep out in a remote area of the park
Safari Game Drives
Morning, afternoon and night game drives are offered from both camps in open sided safari vehicles. Game drives take place in a remote area of the national park, ensuring a more exclusive experience away from the crowds.
South Luangwa National Park is the birth place of the walking safari. Bush walks are one of the finest ways to experience the pristine wilderness first hand and are offered from both camp under the guidance of knowledgeable guides and park rangers.
Derek Shenton’s network of photographic hides is unparalleled in Southern Africa and comprises as many as seven hides when all in operation, including the world-renowned Hippo Hide and Carmine Bee-Eater Hide. Visits to the hides are part of the three daily game viewing activities offered at both camps.
